Português em Foco 1Unit 11: Ontem a Olga foi às compras. | Yesterday Olga went
shopping.
● Reporting specific past events, daily past activities, describing sequences of past
actions, and understanding specific past points.
● Pretérito Perfeito Simples do Indicativo (regular verbs in -ar, -er, -ir; irregular verbs:
ser, ir, ter, estar) and expressions of past time.
Unit 12: A Teresa chegou atrasada ao trabalho. | Teresa arrived
late to work.
● Reporting past events, informal telephone conversations (identifying oneself, asking
for someone, handling a wrong number), and comparing shopping facilities and
hours between Portugal and home countries.
● Pretérito Perfeito Simples do Indicativo, Começar a + Infinitivo, and spelling changes
in verbs ending in -çar, -gar, -car.
Unit 13: Estão convidados para a minha festa. | You are invited to
my party.
● Birthday celebrations and traditions, writing invitations and short messages,
congratulating someone, making plans to visit a city, and making/accepting/rejecting
suggestions.
● Pretérito Perfeito Simples do Indicativo (irregular verbs), Pretérito Imperfeito do
Indicativo (regular verbs in -ar, -er, -ir), and contraction of the preposition "com"
with personal pronouns.
Unit 14: Onde está o meu rato? | Where is my house?
● Spatial localization of people, objects, buildings, streets, and services, and mastering
formal forms of address.
● Presente do Indicativo (regular/irregular), Pretérito Perfeito Simples do Indicativo
(regular/irregular), prepositions/prepositional locutions of place, Estar +
preposition/locution of place, Ser/Ficar + preposition/locution of place, and personal
pronouns/forms of address (tu, você, o senhor, a senhora).
Unit 15: Como vou para o centro da cidade? | How do I get
downtown?
● Geographical localization, spatial orientation, and following GPS directions.
● Modo Imperativo (regular verbs), special case for the personal pronoun "tu", verbs of
movement/orientation (ir/seguir/continuar em frente/até, virar/cortar à
esquerda/direita, passar/atravessar), and prepositions/prepositional locutions of
place and movement.

Terms and Conditions
- Your course fee includes one digital copy of the learning materials. If you’d prefer a hard copy, you can purchase one from our recommended supplier at an extra cost.
- Public group classes are designed for 30 academic hours per CEFR level. If the group grows to 5-7 students, we’ll extend the program by 10 academic hours. If only two students enroll before the course starts, the group will shift to a semi-private format with 20 academic hours.
- Want to switch to a different group or schedule? No problem! Just let us know at least 7 days before the course starts.
- All our teachers are native speakers of the target language. If your teacher falls ill or has an emergency, we’ll arrange a substitute who’s fully briefed on your progress.
- Once you’ve started with your group, switching to another group or schedule isn’t possible.
- Please note that course fees are non-refundable once the group classes have begun.
- We can record group lessons for later viewing, but only if everyone in the class agrees before the course starts.
- At the end of every program, you’ll take a final exam (both written and verbal). To move up to the next CEFR level, you’ll need to score at least 70%.
- After completing your final exam, you’ll receive a progress report, recommendations, and a certification for your hard work!
